The negative impacts of gambling can have major impact on the gambler, their significant others and their wider family, community and society. In terms of monetary impacts, it can affect financial stability and wealth. It can also increase poverty levels. Most of the time, the negative social and economic impacts of gambling are underestimated and overlooked. This is partly because it\u2019s difficult to quantify the invisible social costs of gambling, such as emotional stress and relationship problems. Another reason is that the focus has been on monetary costs, which are easier to measure.<\/p>\n
